The King has come into his own again, and a young country household is drawn to Restoration London and the court at Somerset House. Arrests and a stay in Old Newgate, a faithful nurse, the Great Plague, a sea-fight with the Dutch and the burning of the city test the lovers, while Lord Craven warns of the reckless charm of the Stuarts.
A wholesome historical romance of the 1660s from Blackie’s list of stories for young readers. Download the free EPUB.
