Safe in Edinburgh after the adventures of Kidnapped, David Balfour tries to testify for James Stewart, wrongly accused of the Appin murder, and runs up against the Lord Advocate. Abducted to the Bass Rock, he later sails to Holland with Catriona, daughter of Rob Roy’s slippery son James More, and must handle both a political scandal and a courtship.
Also published as Catriona, it rounds off David’s story and can be read on its own. Download the free EPUB.
