In the year after the Jacobite rising, an outlawed earl with a price on his head takes refuge at a blacksmith’s forge on the Derbyshire moors. There he crosses paths with Lady Patience Gascoyne, a squire’s sister in peril of her own, and with Beau Brocade, the gallant highwayman who rules the heath around Brassington.
Swashbuckling Georgian romance from the creator of the Scarlet Pimpernel, written in the same high-spirited vein. Download the free EPUB.
