It is Christmas in a medieval French town, and the Church’s Truce of God forbids fighting from Thursday to Monday. The young overlord in his clifftop castle chafes at the peace that keeps him from his feud with his cousin, Philip of the Black Beard, while the Bishop of Tours looks on, until the season works on him in an unexpected way.
A short Christmas fable from the queen of American mystery, ideal for reading aloud in December. Download the free EPUB.
