Sesostris, a young prince of Tyre, travels to Egypt and writes home to his mother, Queen Epiphia, describing the temples, priests, courts and customs of the land of the Pharaohs. Through his friendship with Prince Remeses he witnesses the sufferings of the enslaved Hebrews and the rise of Moses, told from outside the Biblical narrative but in keeping with it.
A companion to The Prince of the House of David, popular with nineteenth-century readers of Biblical fiction. Download the free EPUB.
