A romance of the age of Charlemagne, when Franks, pagan Saxons and Norse sea-kings fought along the northern frontier of Christendom. The Norse earl Olvir and his tall follower Floki the Crane are drawn into the struggle between the Frankish king and the old gods of the north, in battles, feasts and vikings’ camps, with chapter headings taken from the lays of harpers and skalds.
Old-fashioned heroic adventure, generously illustrated in the original by Troy and Margaret Kinney. Download the free EPUB.
