The young Scottish surgeon Mungo Park set out in 1795 for the African Association to find the Niger. This edition gives his narrative of capture, fever, kindness and robbery in the kingdoms of the interior, together with the story of his second expedition and later adventure in Central Africa.
A classic of African exploration; its views are those of a European of the 1790s. Download the free EPUB.
