Two years into the Great War, people begin to die in strange ways in the quiet countryside of Wales and in munitions districts, and the newspapers say nothing. Doctors, officials and ordinary villagers propose theories, from hidden Germans to a mysterious Z ray, while Mr. Merritt and others try to find the truth behind the spreading terror.
An eerie wartime mystery by the master of Welsh weird fiction, published in 1917. Download the free EPUB.
