Three penniless young men in London resolve to become detectives, and each falls under the spell of a mysterious lady whose fantastic stories of Mormon Utah, Cuban plantations and secret societies lead them into the path of a comically inept dynamiter. Prince Florizel, now keeping a cigar shop in Soho, presides over this sequel to the New Arabian Nights, written with Fanny Stevenson.
