Mrs Lora Delane Porter, author of uplifting books on hygiene and heredity, decides that her niece Ruth Bannister should marry the healthy young artist Kirk Winfield. The match is made, but when baby Bill arrives his upbringing becomes a battleground between the aunt’s theories, a stately butler named Keggs and his bewildered father’s affection.
Early Wodehouse with a touch more sentiment than usual and plenty of his trademark comedy. Download the free EPUB.
