On a snowy May day in Boston, the Baroness Eugenia Münster and her brother Felix, an amiable painter, arrive to visit cousins they have never met. The serious, conscientious Wentworths take them in, and Felix’s charm and Eugenia’s sophistication unsettle a household of Puritan scruple, especially the restless Gertrude and the dryly observant Robert Acton.
A short, witty James comedy that turns his Americans-in-Europe theme the other way around. Download the free EPUB.
