Bob, his brother and their sister Alice, orphans with little money, catch the bee fever and set up as beekeepers in the wilds of northern Ontario. Swarms, stings, failing hopes, a poisoner who seems to want the bees dead, a war to stop and a fire to fight stand between them and a good summer’s harvest.
Serialised in the Youth’s Companion, an outdoor story full of real beekeeping lore for young readers. Download the free EPUB.
