This short retelling for children explains at the outset that it was wicked to buy and sell human beings, then follows the main threads of the novel: Uncle Tom and little Harry sold, Eliza’s flight across the river, the Quakers who shelter her, George fighting for freedom, and Tom’s new life with little Eva, Aunt Dinah and Topsy.
A gentle first introduction to Stowe’s story for young readers, distinct from the full novel already in the library. Download the free EPUB.
