The Owl and the Pussy-Cat sail off in their pea-green boat, the Jumblies go to sea in a sieve, and the Table and the Chair take a walk. Alongside the songs come Lear’s nonsense stories, among them the four little children who went round the world and the Seven Families of the Lake Pipple-Popple, plus three ludicrous recipes for domestic cookery.
The master of English nonsense at his most musical, for children and for adults who never quite outgrew them. Download the free EPUB.
