Bessie Challoner and her schoolfriends Alice, Gwin and Elma are scandalised by the arrival of an Irish girl who goes about with bare arms, plays tug-of-war and is said to have knocked a boy down like a ninepin. Kitty’s high spirits and warm heart unsettle everyone around her.
A lively school story by the most prolific girls’ author of the late Victorian age. Download the free EPUB.
