Jessie Carlton’s trouble is a wizard named Little Impulse, who makes her act first and think later. Through nutting-parties, a broken mirror, the first sled-ride of the season, cousins’ visits and a skating-party, she learns to master her temper, while her friendship with Madge Clifton brings its own lessons.
Published in 1861 under the pen name Francis Forrester, it is a characteristic Methodist character-building story for girls. Download the free EPUB.
