Mrs. Merriman opens her house at Sunnyside to a handful of girls, among them prim Lucy, the wealthy Laura Everett and Rosamund Cunliffe, a bold, clever ringleader. Gypsy teas, booby-traps, a visit to Lady Jane and a school at a house called The Follies test whether Rosamund’s gift for leadership will lead the others astray or to something better.
A lively school story by one of the most popular writers of girls’ fiction in late Victorian England. Download the free EPUB.
