Page Allison, who tells the story, joins the irrepressible Tucker Twins and a crowd of school friends, boys and girls alike, for a fortnight at Maxton, the old country home of General Price, given as a reward to his grandson Harvie. There are picnics, pranks, romances, an invalid aunt who needs chaperoning and plenty of mishaps along the way.
Lively series fiction for girls; its Black servants speak in the dialect caricature common in 1910s Southern stories. Download the free EPUB.
