Bunyip Bluegum, a well-mannered koala, leaves his uncle’s whiskers behind and takes to the road, where he falls in with the sailor Bill Barnacle and the penguin Sam Sawnoff, owners of Albert, a bad-tempered pudding that never runs out. Together they defend him against a pair of scheming pudding thieves in a rollicking story served in four slices.
