Jack finds a nest of fairies in a hollow hawthorn and is carried off on the back of an albatross to a strange land. There he meets an apple-woman, a town with nobody in it, a parrot in a shawl and the little fairy Mopsa, who grows with alarming speed toward being a queen, while Jack discovers what it costs a mortal to stay.
A dreamlike Victorian fantasy in the line of Alice, odd and lovely, with Dora Curtis’s illustrations. Download the free EPUB.
