Ralph Nelson and his mother are sure the waterfront land belonged to his father, but Squire Paget, president of the village board, insists the village owns it, and the papers cannot be found. A smash at the bridge, a missing bill, a runaway and a stormy time on Big Silver Lake all bear on Ralph’s upward struggle.
A Stratemeyer tale of pluck and honesty against small-town villainy, in the Horatio Alger tradition. Download the free EPUB.
