Frank Langdon calls his chums together with news of a trip south, and soon the four boys are camping on the Gulf coast of Florida. They escape a fire trap, meet a swamp fugitive and a Florida sheriff, run a motor-boat, see Bluff’s first alligator and, in a thick sea fog, hear the shouts that set them hunting for missing balloonists.
