Two lads make a momentous decision and sail for Australia, where they join the rush to a goldfield called Golden Flat and fall in with a happy-go-lucky companion known as the Shadow. Warned by the old bushman Mackay of what the interior can do, they set out across the trackless desert after a party of explorers who have vanished. The author built much of it on real happenings.
Rousing outback adventure in the Henty tradition, with the imperial outlook of its day. Download the free EPUB.
