Gervaise Tresham, son of a Lancastrian knight who fell in the Wars of the Roses, joins the Order of St. John on Rhodes as a page to the Grand Master. He wins his spurs fighting Moslem corsairs at sea, commands his own galley, endures captivity among galley slaves and stands on the walls in the great Ottoman siege of 1480.
One of Henty’s most stirring historical tales, steeped in the crusading outlook of its time. Download the free EPUB.
