Treve arrives by train in the desert country, where sagebrush and Joshua trees stretch away from the ranch that becomes his home. Chapters of thirst, a marooning, a hunt for a killer, desertion and a theft test the dog’s courage, loyalty and intelligence, and the people around him.
Terhune at his most typical, for every reader who grew up on Lad: A Dog. Download the free EPUB.
