On May Day the birds of Pleasant Valley wait for Bobby Bobolink to come back from the south. When he arrives, singing, he courts Mrs. Bobolink, builds a home in the meadow, fools the farm boy Johnnie Green, and deals with a disagreeable Mr. Crow and a tricky Mr. Catbird, with Jolly Robin and Rusty Wren among the neighbours.
A short, cheerful bird story with a nature lesson tucked inside, ideal for young listeners at bedtime. Download the free EPUB.
