Lightfoot lives with Blackie and the other goats on a rocky hillside at the edge of a big city, and he cannot resist a high jump. His leaps get him hurt, let him save a girl, set him pulling a goat-wagon for children’s rides in the park, butting a bully and finally going to sea on a voyage. Each chapter is a short adventure for reading aloud.
