Dymer, born in a regimented Perfect City where the gods seem smothered for ever, strikes his lecturer dead and escapes into the wild countryside. In nine cantos of rhyme royal, the poem follows his night with an unseen lover, his wanderings, a revolution started in his name and his encounters with a magician and with death.
The long poem Lewis published before his conversion, under the name Clive Hamilton, essential for readers of Narnia’s author. Download the free EPUB.
