The first part gathers Cather’s early stories, beginning with “Peter”, the tale of an old Bohemian fiddler on the Nebraska prairie who will not let his hard son sell his violin. The second collects her reviews and essays, the work of a young journalist forming the opinions about art and writing that would shape her novels.
A fine companion for readers of O Pioneers! and My Ántonia who want to see where Cather began. Download the free EPUB.
