An old farmer tired of receiving neckerchiefs and crocheted bed-slippers every Christmas persuades his wife that they should rebel. The other stories in this collection follow elderly New Englanders, country women and families who find new chances late in life, among them Jupiter Ann, Phineas and his motor car, and a woman curious about the names of the stars.
Gentle, humorous stories by the author of Pollyanna, with a real tenderness for old age. Download the free EPUB.
