Queed, a bespectacled young man devoted entirely to writing a great treatise on evolutionary sociology, lodges in a shabby boarding house in a Southern city and has no time for anything human. A small young woman with an enormous dog, a crusading newspaper and the charming reformer Charles Gardiner West slowly draw him out into friendship, work and love.
A humane comedy of character and ambition from a Richmond newspaperman’s pen. Download the free EPUB.
