Cappy Ricks, the crusty little despot of the Blue Star Navigation Company, is supposed to have handed the San Francisco shipping and lumber business to younger men. Instead he keeps turning up to test, bully and reward his skippers, above all the two-fisted Michael J. Murphy, once mate and then master of the barkentine Retriever under Captain Matt Peasley.
Breezy, good-humoured business comedy from the Pacific waterfront, for anyone who enjoyed the earlier Cappy Ricks stories. Download the free EPUB.
