The third book of McElroy’s comic Civil War series finds Si Klegg and his partner Shorty on picket duty with their Indiana regiment in Tennessee. They fall in with Rosenbaum, a Union spy who tells of his adventures behind Confederate lines, while Si’s father the Deacon heads home and the company trades shots with the rebels across the river.
Homespun, humorous soldier fiction by a Union veteran, best for readers who know the earlier Si Klegg books. Download the free EPUB.
