At Fort Enterprise, the Company’s farthest north-western post, the winter talk is all of the mail and of a strange white man living among the Kakisa people. Sergeant Stonor of the Mounted Police sets out up Swan River with Clare, a determined young woman from the outside world, and the search for the man called Imbrie turns into a mystery.
Northern adventure in the Mountie tradition, with river travel, a vivid frontier post and a capable heroine. Download the free EPUB.
