Baree, son of the wolf-dog Kazan and the blind wolf Gray Wolf, is lost as a pup in the vast forests of northern Canada. He learns to hunt and survive alone, befriends a beaver colony and an owl, and is drawn to Nepeese, the half-Cree daughter of the trapper Pierrot, until a cruel trader threatens them all.
A vivid wilderness animal story by a writer who became a passionate conservationist, a natural follow-up to Kazan. Download the free EPUB.
