Medieval French tales in graceful English: the Lay of the Bird, the Woful Knight, the Two Lovers, Marie de France’s Eliduc, the werewolf story of Melion and the Lay of the Horn. A second part turns to the fabliaux, the comic and often sharp-edged verse tales such as the Divided Blanket.
A fine gateway to the courtly lays and comic tales of the Middle Ages. Download the free EPUB.
