Told in letters home to his boss at Terran Insurance, this 1955 story follows Sam, who has sold policies to every race in the galaxy, as he lands on balmy Halcyon. The natives want for nothing and see no point in insurance, so Sam aims higher, at General Multacni, and is soon writing from a stockade.
