William Karsten III and Thomas Thurman have come to the lodge for the season, and their guide promises them a really choice quarry. The game, it turns out, is human: criminals released into the woods for licensed hunters, with trophies tanned and mounted. McConnell, a psychologist, follows the sportsmen as the hunt unfolds.
A sharp 1955 satire on punishment and privilege, in the vein of ‘The Most Dangerous Game’. Download the free EPUB.
