Aiming to give a simple picture of the whole of creation, Noyce leads his readers from the sky and the atmosphere to the earth, the waters and then the organic kingdoms. Along the way he describes plants and their uses in homely detail, down to the way bamboos are split and pressed flat to build houses in the tropics.
A charming nineteenth-century survey of nature written to spark curiosity in young readers. Download the free EPUB.
