Beginning at the creation, these retellings take young readers through the whole Bible in fifty-two weekly lessons, three readings for each Sunday of the year. Yonge covers the major events of the Old and New Testaments in plain language, closing each reading with questions to fix it in the memory, and the pictures are by the German artist Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld.
A ready-made year of family Bible reading from one of the Victorian era’s most popular writers for the young. Download the free EPUB.
