Ralph Fairbanks is bound to become a railroad man, and at Stanley Junction, where the Daylight Express rolls in past the shops and freight yard, he gets his chance at the roundhouse. He wins over the master mechanic, stands up to the bully Ike Slump and his gang, receives a mysterious letter and steadily makes his way.
The first of the Railroad Series, a brisk boys’ story full of locomotives and grit. Download the free EPUB.
