Margaret Benson writes about the animals she lived with as distinct personalities: a cat with a soul, the contrasting Joey and Matilda, a torpid cat and an ill-bred one, a vain creature and the dog Taffy. She watches robins in the garden ivy, Persians and Angoras on the prowl, and the small dramas of a country house.
Gentle, observant animal sketches illustrated by Henriette Ronner, the celebrated painter of cats. Download the free EPUB.
