An old fairy visits Daisy, a child of a woodman’s family living in the forest, and through wonderful picture books, fairy food and dreams shows her the hidden beauty in kindness and duty. Daisy faces trouble, sorrow at a funeral and a mission of her own, while her friend Maud learns some of the same lessons in her own way.
A tender 1857 Christian allegory for children, a companion to the author’s earlier Violet. Download the free EPUB.
