Short, cheerfully callous rhymes in which Uncle Joe, Impetuous Samuel, Inconsiderate Hannah, Aunt Eliza and a parade of other unfortunates come to sudden ends, observed by family members who care rather less than they should. Each verse turns on a final line of perfect, deadpan indifference.
A founding classic of black-humour verse, a delight for lovers of Belloc and Edward Gorey. Download the free EPUB.
