Taking Paul’s picture of the Christian soldier in Ephesians, J. H. Jowett preaches a sermon on each piece of the armour: the invisible antagonisms of the spiritual life, the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness and the readiness of the gospel. Each sermon opens with a prayer, and his descriptions include a climb above an ancient city once seen by the apostle.
Warm, polished preaching from one of the most celebrated English-speaking pulpit voices of the early twentieth century. Download the free EPUB.
