A large gallery of short biographies of the men and women who built Alabama, beginning with its first governor William Wyatt Bibb and the frontiersman Sam Dale. Politicians, judges, soldiers, ministers and educators follow, among them Israel Pickens, Clement Comer Clay and the Methodist historian Anson West.
Useful to genealogists and local historians; its view of Alabama’s past is that of a white Southern writer of the early 1900s. Download the free EPUB.
