The Pleydell cousins, led by the extravagantly talkative Berry, live a life of motoring, mishaps and banter between their country house and London. Their episodes range from a disputed lawsuit with a surprise witness to misadventures with tradesmen, officials and strangers, told by the narrator with affection and wit.
