Kriemhild of Burgundy dreams of a falcon torn apart by eagles, and the dream comes true when she marries the hero Siegfried. This medieval German epic follows his murder by Hagen, the sinking of the Nibelung treasure in the Rhine, and Kriemhild’s long-nursed vengeance at the court of Etzel, rendered in long rhyming lines by Arthur S. Way.
