Driven out of a New York village as tramps, Jack and Mark are rescued by a professor whose electric airship, the Monarch, is ready for a voyage to the North Pole. They fight off eagles, are lost in an ice cave and attacked by sea lions. The Black cook Washington is drawn in the crude comic dialect of 1906.
