Little Willie comes home from the forest with an armful of wood and finds no pot on the fire, for his father has died and his mother can barely feed them. Determined to work, he presents himself at the castle of a disagreeable princess whose servants have all fled, and his industry leads him into a fairy-tale encounter with giant hands.
